Feedback policy

Tell us what's wrong, what's missing, what's working.

Every article has a feedback form at the bottom. No signup, no email required, no comment thread to wade through.

What feedback is for

  • Corrections. Specific factual errors. See the corrections policy for the resolution path.
  • Missing context. Important angles we missed. We may revise the article or cover the angle in a follow-up.
  • Source quality. A source we cited is unreliable, or a stronger one exists.
  • Coverage gaps.Stories we should be covering and aren't.

What we do with it

  • All feedback is read. Volume permitting, by a human; otherwise triaged by category.
  • Correction requests are reviewed within 24 hours. Confirmed corrections are made same-day and noted on the article.
  • Patterns inform the next round. Recurring complaints about a kind of story (framing, source mix, missing context) feed back into how the editorial pass evaluates similar stories.
  • We don't reply to every message individually. We will reply when a correction is made, when we've revised an article in response, or when a question deserves a direct answer.

What feedback isn't

The form is not a public comment thread — submitted feedback is not shown to other readers. It goes to us and stops there. If you want to have a public conversation about a story, share it on your own platform.
